CU6 released

let’s give it  try! I used to write all of my posts in german (only) the last time. But I’ve seen a number of hits on this particular article, so I’d like to see what happens Zwinkerndes Smiley

CU6 has been released, but I haven’t gone through all details and fixes right now. But there is an important thing to notice. Besides the fact that there is a DBUpgrade, again. And that you want to make sure that you do apply this DBUpgrade manually to all of your backend databases once you’ve upgraded your servers.

But this time, there is also an update for the monitoring server role. An DB upgrade. So to get your QoE Reports working again, you have to:

  • Install CU6 on your servers
  • apply the DB upgrade to your SQL backend
  • Re-deploy the reports

If you miss one of these steps, you might see this error when running a report like the ‘User Activity’:

An error occurred during client rendering.

An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)

Query execution failed for dataset ‚CallList‘. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)

For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors.

Or if you run the report directly on your SQL box, you’ll see this:

An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)

Query execution failed for dataset ‚ConferenceList‘. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)

@_Endtime is not a parameter for procedure CdrConferenceList.

More details can be seen on KB 2703324

KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2703324

And some more details to CU6 in general:

KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2493736/en-us

DL: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=11551

And as usual, you have to re-download the Lyncserverupdateinstaller.exe and run it against all of your Lync servers.

If this was helpfull, let me know Smiley
